Yogurt “RUN” Product Label Update

Label Update for Yogurt RUN Following New Functional Labeling Regulations
Starting next year, the labeling for Yogurt RUN will be updated in accordance with the revised functional labeling system for foods.
A “functional food with labeling” refers to a general food product certified by HACCP that contains functional ingredients recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in amounts that meet the required standards. Yogurt RUN contains standard-type probiotic lactic acid bacteria and is now categorized as a functional food with labeling.
Key changes include:
1. Addition of a functional claim on the front label.
The packaging for Yogurt RUN will now include the statement:
“Contains probiotics known to support gut health, promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, suppress harmful bacteria, and aid in bowel movements.”
2. Revision of probiotic content labeling.
Previously, the label followed the legal minimum standard for fermented milk products (12 billion CFU per bottle).
Under the new regulation, it will reflect the actual content: over 100 billion CFU per bottle.
A representative of Yogurt RUN stated, “We will continue to do our best to create products that support consumers’ health.”
