  • How should it be stored and what is the expiration date?

  • Is it safe to consume after the expiration date?

    Accordion toggle

Sengmyongmul Soy Sauce has a 2-year shelf life, based on optimal flavor and color retention.
Like homemade soy sauce, it may darken over time, making it unsuitable for certain recipes.

After opening, transfer it to a proper container, refrigerate, and avoid consuming past the expiration date for best results.

  • Can I eat yoghurt frozen?

    Accordion toggle

Yes, it is okay to eat it frozen.
Freezing yoghurt does not affect the effectiveness of the probiotics.

Probiotics enter a dormant state at temperatures as low as -60℃.
When frozen, probiotics become temporarily inactive but reactive upon thawing.

However, please note that repeated freezing and thawing may destroy some probiotics.
There is no exact expiration date for frozen yoghurt, but it is recommended to consume it by the expiration date if possible.

You may consume it slightly beyond the expiration date, but it is advisable to eat it as soon as possible.

  • The tofu hasn’t spoiled even after a week. Were any other additives used?

    Accordion toggle

Sengmyongmul Tofu does not contain added preservatives.
As a delicate product, tofu typically spoils after being left at room temperature for several days, and during warmer seasons, it may spoil even before the expiration date if distribution conditions are poorly managed.

Despite its sensitivity, Sengmyongmul Tofu can maintain a shelf life of up to six days without preservatives.
This is made possible by the use of sterile-grade drinking water (first-class groundwater), carefully selected and refined ingredients, hygienic production facilities, and heat treatment technology that minimizes the intrusion of microorganisms during manufacturing.

However, if any of these conditions are not properly controlled, the tofu can spoil quickly.
Conversely, when all conditions are well maintained, the tofu may remain fresh even beyond the six-day shelf life.

  • The soy sauce at home is past its expiration date. Can I still use it?

    Accordion toggle

The shelf life of soy sauce produced in factories is two years.
This is set based on the optimal period for the preservation of flavor and color of the soy sauce.

In general, products that are more than two years old may have a color that is too dark, making them unsuitable for cooking.

Like homemade soy sauce, factory-made products may not pose any health risks even after two years, but they may no longer be ideal for cooking.
